Oceanside Real Estate

Many love to live by the beach in Oceanside, California as many of the top condo buildings area located within a close proximity to the Oceanside Pier and the sandy beach.  Finding single family homes located within a three blocks radius to the beach can be tough unless you know where to look.  One of our favorite neighborhoods is located on the north side of the Pier and called the Pacific Village community.  These are really great curb appeal and were built approximately 15 years ago and are built in the row style.  The two story residences feature high ceilings, gated entrance, open floor plans and gourmet kitchens.  One of the best features of these homes is the close proximity to the beach as it's just three short blocks to the Pacific Ocean.

The Lake Shore Villas is a nice condo complex located north of the 76 freeway in Oceanside, California.  Located at 509 Calle Montecito, Oceanside, the condos sit next to Libby Lake and offer nice 2 bedrooms condos.  The units often include a good size living and dining room, private balcony and interior washer/dryer.  The master bedroom comes with their own bath that includes a combination of tub and shower and often come with walk-in closets.  The Lakeshore Villas community offers a nice community pool, spa and children's play area for it's residents that included in the monthly homeowners association dues of $250.00 a month.  The dues also include hot water, sewer and roof maintenance.  For more information on the Lake Shore Villas complex please call

The downtown area of Oceanside is a very vibrant area with small and high rise condo buildings that offer panoramic views of the ocean.  Condos will normally start in the low $400,000 range for a small one bedroom condo located just blocks to the beach and offers peek views of the ocean.  There are several buildings in the downtown area that are worth being aware of when doing your real estate search for an ocean view condo.

The first building is the North Coast Village condo community.  This is almost like a small mini resort that is located directly on the beach and is home to a large number of condos that form around the central community pool area.  This is a gated community with strict entrance for non-residents and features a nice clubhouse,

The Dixie Village is one of the newest communities in the Oceanside area with two story homes that are currently under construction.  There is a total of 3 different floor plans that will be offered here that will feature three to five bedrooms and range from 1,961 to 2,471 square feet.  A total of 35 detached residential homes will be built here that offer a lot of unique selling points.  One of the best features is location of the garage which is situated in the back of the lot.  This is often not done here by the beach but offers better curb appeal as the garage can't be seen from the street level.

The Dixie Village community has a great concept with central courtyards and classic Mediterranean and Bungalow style homes.  Real Estate prices have not

The Marisol Oceanside community is now starting to release new construction homes to the general public.  Marisol which is located in the Ocean Ranch neighborhood offers a unique twist for a brand new community with homes built with equestrian style lots that feature white picket horse fences and large front and back yards.  It was only a couple months ago when we saw these homes homes become available and were pleasantly surprised on the interior quality of the houses.  These are modern style homes built in the Mediterranean and Traditional style with vaulted ceilings, gourmet kitchens and generous size rooms.  The most exciting part about this neighborhood is size of the community.  This is a rather small development that's located just off the 76

Oceanside, California has several locations that offer beachfront vacation rentals for lease.  The term "beachfront" is loosely coined as a condo or home that is located next to the beach and not necessarily located directly on the sand.  One of the streets that runs parallel with the beach is commonly known as "The Strand."  The Strand offers a variety of smaller condos that run from the Oceanside Pier to the Oceanside Harbor area.  

One of the largest complex's on the Strand is the San Miguel community.  The San Miguel complex occupies several ocean front blocks on the Strand with a large number of beach close and ocean view condos for sale and for lease.  These condos currently rent between $5,500 to $5,900 a month and are located at 400 N The Strand

Oceanside is a unique place where there is a variety of views can be found.  Some of the most common vistas are oceanfront, ocean and city light views.  The city also has several bodies of water that are classified as lagoon's and lead directly out into the Pacific Ocean.  These lagoon views can be found in several different neighborhoods and here is quick guide on where to find them.

First, single family homes on the southern most point of Oceanside are situated next to the Buena Vista Lagoon.  Streets like Eaton and Tremont Street can offer single family residences that have nice lagoon views from their own backyard.  Currently there are two homes for sale that are listed for just under $600,000 and feature three bedrooms and are situated within

Living close to the beach comes at a price, especially when it comes to Southern California.  Most of the beach towns from Los Angeles to San Diego have a very limited number of single family homes for sale under $400,000.  One of the best places to find homes in this price range is in Oceanside, California.  There are several neighborhood that offer homes with this price point, especially if you don't mind being a short distance to the beach.  Many of the popular neighborhoods in Oceanside are never more than 10 to 15 minutes away with no traffic.

Oceanside neighborhoods like Mission Valley Estates and Mesa Margarita will feature homes over 1,500 square feet that were built after 1970.  For those older than 55 years old should consider the Pacifica

The Oceana Oceanside community is a senior community for those older than 55 years old.  The homes are nice single level attached units that are simple in design and ideal for those wanting to live in a friendly oriented community.  Select units in this complex will have nice panoramic views of the valley below since the community sits high on a hill in the central Oceanside area.  Pets are allowed here with certain restrictions and the homeowners association provides a central community clubhouse and multiple pools throughout the various neighborhoods within Oceana as pictured below.

The Montego condo building is one the premier complex's in the Oceanside Pier area that offers wonderful ocean views. The condos are located at the corner of North Pacific Street and Sportfisher Drive and situated just one block to the sandy beach.  The building itself is probably one of the nicest in the area with a sleek contemporary stone and glass architectural design and a private gated entrance. Ocean View condos start at just under $1 million and go as high as $1.3 million. These are definitely the most expensive condos to be found by the beach but offer a premium location and high end finishes.
