St. Malo Heights is a great ocean view community located at one of the highest points in the central section of Oceanside.  The homes are located in a secure gated community that offers ocean view single level homes perched above the 5 freeway.  The views can be really amazing with panoramic Ocean and Catalina Island views.

Arrowood is a newer community here in Oceanside with many large new construction homes built in the last 8 years.  There are still many vacant parcels of land where brand new construction homes are still being built and offered for sale.  For those who prefer buying a brand new home then the Arrowood neighborhood is your best bet in Oceanside.  It's important to know where to look as many of the neighborhoods located within Arrowood have already been completed.  Here is a quick guide.

The St. Could is one of the newer developments in Oceanside and has seen a lot ups and downs in this small community.  The community was built at the height of the market in 2007 just as the market started to come down.  This is probably just a matter of bad timing but buyers in today's market have an opportunity to buy at today's current market value.  A new listing has just come on the market at the beginning of this month and offers three bedrooms, three baths with 1,318 square feet of living space.  The townhouse does share walls with neighboring units and comes with an attached 2 car garage.

The Silver Surf condo building is located at 503 N Tremont Street in Oceanside, California.  This is a small complex situated on the ocean side of the 5 freeway in the downtown area near the cross streets of Pacific and Surfrider.  This is a newer style building that was built in 1990 that offers one to three bedroom units.  Select units in this complex will have peek views of the ocean with inside laundry and large bedrooms.  The complex got it's name since many of the units offer a sun room with floor to ceiling glass windows that let in a lot of natural light.  Real Estate prices can range anywhere from the $300,000 to $500,000 range and is one of the best places to find large 3 bedrooms units on the ocean side of the freeway.

The Pelican Cove community is located in the San Luis Rey area of Oceanside and just steps to the Old Mission San Luis Rey that dates back to the early 1700's.  Pelican Cove is a condo complex that offers two to four bedroom condos that were built in 2006.  The complex is located near the intersection of Douglas Drive and North El Camino Real which is filled with local shopping and restaurants.   The units tend to be average around 1,000 square feet and included a one or two car attached garage.
