It seems like a lot of buyers are looking for fixer upper homes in today's market, especially when they can purchase a home for under market value.  Oceanside does have a small number of properties that do need TLC and often sold "as-is" to the buyer.  Since most fixer upper properties can potentially require a lot of work and a lot of money a lot of buyers are looking for a cosmetic fixer upper.  A cosmetic fixer upper is basically a property that requires less work than a traditional fixer upper property.  This can range from changing the paint color or removing outdated wallpaper or carpet.  These homes are normally not discounted as much but still provide an excellent opportunity to buy at a slightly reduced rate.

Many love to live by the beach in Oceanside, California as many of the top condo buildings area located within a close proximity to the Oceanside Pier and the sandy beach.  Finding single family homes located within a three blocks radius to the beach can be tough unless you know where to look.  One of our favorite neighborhoods is located on the north side of the Pier and called the Pacific Village community.  These are really great curb appeal and were built approximately 15 years ago and are built in the row style.  The two story residences feature high ceilings, gated entrance, open floor plans and gourmet kitchens.  One of the best features of these homes is the close proximity to the beach as it's just three short blocks to the Pacific Ocean.

The downtown area of Oceanside is a very vibrant area with small and high rise condo buildings that offer panoramic views of the ocean.  Condos will normally start in the low $400,000 range for a small one bedroom condo located just blocks to the beach and offers peek views of the ocean.  There are several buildings in the downtown area that are worth being aware of when doing your real estate search for an ocean view condo.

The Dixie Village is one of the newest communities in the Oceanside area with two story homes that are currently under construction.  There is a total of 3 different floor plans that will be offered here that will feature three to five bedrooms and range from 1,961 to 2,471 square feet.  A total of 35 detached residential homes will be built here that offer a lot of unique selling points.  One of the best features is location of the garage which is situated in the back of the lot.  This is often not done here by the beach but offers better curb appeal as the garage can't be seen from the street level.

Oceanside, California has several locations that offer beachfront vacation rentals for lease.  The term "beachfront" is loosely coined as a condo or home that is located next to the beach and not necessarily located directly on the sand.  One of the streets that runs parallel with the beach is commonly known as "The Strand."  The Strand offers a variety of smaller condos that run from the Oceanside Pier to the Oceanside Harbor area.
