Oceanside Rentals Near Camp Pendleton

One of our most often requests from clients who are looking to relocate to Oceanside is where to find rentals near the Camp Pendleton Marine Base. There is a large population of Marines who live in the Oceanside area for a variety of reasons. First, the entrance to Camp Pendleton has two locations, one at the very north end near San Clemente and another one on the south end located in Oceanside. To go from one end of Camp Pendleton to the other takes around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic on the 5 freeway. Living near the gated entrance makes a lot of sense and cuts down on travel time. Another reason why many pick Oceanside over other towns is that it's more affordable to live when compared with other beach towns in San Diego county. This is true no matter if you are looking for a rental property or thinking about buying a home since home prices are significantly lower when compared to upscale communities like La Jolla, Del Mar and even Carlsbad. Rentals that are well priced tend to go very quickly so knowing where to look it's crucial.

One of the nicest neighborhoods to look at would be the Arrowood community that features homes that were built around 2014. Many of these are two story homes that offer large square footage floor plans with attached garages and good size lots. One of my favorite for those who don't want a single family home but prefer a townhouse style would be the Mission Lane development. These homes were built around 2019 and offer a great location near the 76 freeway with local shopping like Walmart situated nearby. Other recommended neighborhoods would be the Whelan Ranch community which feature both residential single family homes and condos.
