Oceanside Homes For Sale On Large Lots

Oceanside has always been known for having some of the most attractive price points for homes located near the beach in San Diego county.  Lot sizes in many neighborhoods can be very generous size with lots over 10,000 square feet.  For Southern California this is considered a large lot as land is very valuable and expensive, especially near the beach.  There are certain neighborhoods that we recommend to our clients who are looking for homes with a little bit of land attached to them.  Different neighborhoods will have different price points depending on the location and condition of the home.  One of the places near the beach is the Loma Alta neighborhoods that has many homes that were built in the 1960's and 70's.  These are typically one story ranch style homes with real estate prices anywhere from the high $600,000 range to currently just under $1,400,000.  Expect to find lot sizes around 12,000 square feet on select properties in this area.  The Fire Mountain neighborhood is located very close to Loma Alta and also has similar type properties but tend to be higher price points due to it's popularity  The nice thing about both of these communities is that they are high enough that that can offer some kind of an ocean view depending on the homes location.  

Another great place to look is near the border of Oceanside and Carlsbad with very upscale communities like the gated community of Southridge Estates which features beautiful Spanish style homes.  These can have lot sizes over 11,000 square feet with select properties offering over 3,000 square feet of living space with three car garages.  Real Estate prices tend to be very well priced with current listings in the low $1 million dollar price.  Other neighborhoods in this area like the Summit neighborhood is an excellent place to look with prices currently in the mid $900,000 range.  Finally, in the north section of Oceanside is an area with beautiful homes like the Arrowood community that was built right around 2007.  The nice thing about these homes is that they are newer construction and offer a lot of modern amenities as well as being located close to the Arrowood golf course.  There are also several neighborhoods close to Arrowood like Creekside Estates and Canyon Crest that offer homes on large lots from the mid $700,000 to $900,000 range.  For questions on where to look for a home in Oceanside please contact our local agents at 760-710-2856.
